Henry Mau – Finance & Expansion Manager
Henry, please introduce yourself quickly.
Buongiorno! My name is Henry, Finance & Expansion Manager at Colonia. I am from Germany, have spent some years living in Italy and the United States, and am an Economist by training. My job is to talk with banks, lawyers and partners regarding new funding opportunities and manage Colonia’s expansion to other markets.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
It seems like a standard phrase but, honestly, the team. Everyone has such diverse backgrounds, yet we are united in our goal of creating the “next big thing” in logistics. Working together with these wonderful people around me is the most outstanding part of my work.
What does success mean to you at Colonia?
When the page-long excel formula finally works (just kidding…). No, when the week comes to an end, and we have achieved something meaningful and lasting, I know it’s been a good week. Even if it was something small: Not every step needs to make us cross the finish line, but every step brings us a little closer to reaching it.
What makes your heart beat faster?
Coffee, aviation and Formula 1. I love to tinker around with my portafilter at home, trying out new coffee blends and styles, I am currently in the process of obtaining my private pilot license, and I enjoy the technical finesse Formula 1 offers almost every Sunday.
